Review : Great game -- hopefully won't go the way of the original...
The X-Com series dates back to the early 90's -- I still remember the hours I spent on X-COM: UFO Defense... In fact, the game is considered by many to be one of the greatest (if not the greatest) strategy games ever developed. With the randomly generated maps -- concept of fog of war and line of sight -- getting shot at from nowhere -- permanent death -- and that fantastically good music that so fit the mood of the game, it's no wonder many still play it, almost 20 years after it was released.

There's been many efforts to remake/redo the game, with how far computers have come since then, but no big game companies decided to take it on, until now, and I do believe I'm in good company when I say that Firaxis really have a winner on their hands...

First the box -- this is the special edition version, so you get the artwork book and a nice insignia thing. I appreciated the artwork book, especially when they showed some of the original designs and the updated ones...

The Good:

The Vita is a beautiful design, and it feels very solid in your hands. It's nice to finally have dual analog sticks, and the touch screen is very smooth and responsive. The rear touch pad has added an interesting new dimension to several games, such as Escape Plan and Mutant Blobs Attack.

The Vita's 5" screen is sharp and vibrant, vastly improved over the PSP. Look up 'mBVi3KbHPgY' on Youtube for a comparison of Hot Shots Golf on the Vita vs PSP. The Vita blows away the PSP!

The speakers are a definite improvement over my PSP, the sounds during Escape Plan were just amazing.

I am writing this right now using this keyboard. The typing feel is decent, and soft. The major issue I have with the keyboard is its backlighting. With a Macintosh backlit keyboard all of the keys are silver with the letters being in a negative color (black). When the backlight is not on on my mac, I can see all of the keys perfectly. On the Logitech G110 with the backlight off, the keys are not as easy to see. Its not that big of an issue I just mention it because those people that still may need to look at a keyboard to type may find it a bit difficult. Ok on to the gaming.

Gaming:
I played WOW about 30 hours using this keyboard. It is pretty comfortable and easy to set up to do some macros. I dont use WASD to drive, instead I use the arrow keys. The control was sharp and very accurate. I dont play much FPS so I am not sure how it would perform there. Our production company often travels for business and PSP, 3DS etc. is fine since hotel TVs tend to be older SD sets so I just got use to having to leave my favorite games like COD and Street fighter IV behind till I got home. We saw this screen running at E3 2011 and it was fantastic! I had mine on pre-order ever since we got back into the office and it just showed up today. Well built, holds my Xbox 360 pefectly, no overheating, it's great! I WAS looking at other HORI screens for around $250 but they just click on top of the system, they don't close up with into a case with a handle. This product is also great for those in the MLG and NEED to make sure they have an HD screen everywhere they go. I'll definately be keeping mine and using it for a long LONG time.... the only draw back is that the LED screen is a bit on the sharp side (hey GAEMS, please add sharpness control!) but it's still the best thing on the market.

Review : Wow, what an upgrade from the DS Lite!
I recently upgraded to the 3DS from the DS Lite and I must say, what a great upgrade! I wasn't sure at first if I would like the 3D effect, but I like it! It's really fun and cool looking on the game "Mario 3D Land." I highly recommend buying that game. It's very fun!

As for the color, Midnight Purple is very, very nice! In the picture Amazon has, it appears to be more of a fuchsia color. The actual color is a deep purple and it's very stunning in person.

If you're unsure about whether to upgrade from any previous DS, I will tell you right now, it's most definitely worth it! You won't be disappointed, I promise :-) Read the other reviews here on Amazon - that should help you decide!

To get a keyboard that meets these specs there was only one that I could find for less than $200 at the time I was shopping. The Razer Black Widow Ultimate 2013 Stealth Edition.

Only flaw I found in this board was very minor. It had a slight wobble on my desk if I was not using the kick-stands in the back (I don't use the kick-stands in keyboards).

Let me say this first, I am a beginner when it comes to capture cards (although I've recorded game play with a camcorder so does that count?). Anyways, the Roxio Game Capture HD PRO works great; no problems recording and no defects. I've yet to try streaming but I will do that in a future update of this review. The software installation is easy and so is the hardware setup; just plug in two HDMI/Component Cables, connect the card to your USB port and you're good to go(assuming you've installed the software already). The software that comes with it (Roxio VideoWave) is incredibly easy to use although I couldn't customize the render settings, only choose different presets but that's probably because I haven't fiddled around enough with the software. The device itself is incredibly light and compact so I wouldn't leave it someplace where it could get crushed by your foot or something else. If you're having any problems using this then you must have done...

Review : Once you use one, you'll have a hard time playing without one
I've had a Nostromo for years when it was still being manufactured by Belkin. They sold it Razer a while back and stopped driver support for the N52 which became a issue for me under Win7, so I figured since I liked the Death Adder mouse and Tarantula keyboard so much, surely their take on the Nostromo would be golden. It is...mostly, but they did fall short of a perfect redraft of the N52.

First, the software that comes bundled with the Razer Nostromo is very good, very solid and stable, and IMO better than what Belkin had going with their profiler. The Nostromo's profiler software under Belkin was good and easy to use, very intuitive on most levels as far as programming macros and keystrokes were concerned, and allowed you to set up 3 keymaps with page flipping fairly easily. The Razer version has the same ease of use, but is smoother and cleaner with its layout, it enables far smoother profile changes even within a game to other game set ups, something the Belkin...

Ok, so I'm in my mid 40's, I've broken everything from my neck in 2 places to my ankle in 3 places, my knees were rammed into an engine block at 65mph when I was 25 and haven't been right since, ad in 2 concussions in this lifetime so I don't have the best balance to boot. Then toss in a nice little dose of being peri-menopausal and HATING doing anything outside in the FL Summer, which lasts for 7 months of 90 degree plus weather, and sprinkle that with a tad of depression from NOT being outside which doesn't exactly have you running about the house singling merrily while pushing a vacuum and you have 15 extra lbs that you haven't a CLUE where those little suckers came from ;) ;), and you are flopping and sagging in places you never knew you had to begin with to ad insult to the poundage! Now according to the wii I'm just above normal putting me in the barely overweigh category, but I FEEL overweight and I know I've gotten weaker/un toned and I FEEL it.
